Investment Criteria for Startups in CEE Region

angel_investorsIn today’s world there are a lot of interesting ideas for projects. But very often developers have not enough money for their implementation. That’s why they need investments for further develop the ideas.

October 29, on a conference at the Investor Day participants talked about how you can attract investment, and how most investors look for a final decision on investment. Edward Shenderovich (Kite Ventures), who was participated in the discussion, noted that the main attention is paid to people, team. Investor looks at their level of professionalism, the ability of this team to realize the project as well look at attitudes in the command itself.

Bohdan Kupych (KM Core) noted that there is a tendency in Ukraine: there are a lot of talented technicians who are capable of implementing any idea, but there are only a few people who are able to bring the idea to market. It should be noted that in the world, there is a myth that the Russian and Ukrainian companies will never become global. But for example, take the company Kaspersky. Just a lot of companies that do not recognize this, since it is considered that it might scare away large customers.

Offshore Software Project Management for Customers

The success of an IT outsourcing project depends not only on an offshore provider who develops the project but also on how the project is managed remotely by the client. With a little input from their end customers shouldn’t expect for a project to be successful in the long run. The reason for this is simple: a client knows his business requirements and processes better than the vendor does. Outsourcing companies often work in a different part of the world and what they really can do is only develop a software solution or provide required IT services basing on the input provided by the customer.
