All big brands care about their representation in major social networks. Number of Likes and followers has become valuable criterias of success of social media strategies. Social CRM company Get Satisfaction created infogrphics that highlights reasons why people follow brands on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.

Facebook and Twitter ‘help to politicize’ today’s youth

The web, social networking in particular, is helping to politicize younger people, according to the University of California’s Humanities Research Institute.

The research studied over 2,500 members of the Generation Y over a number of years and found that based on social media updates, younger people are more likely to engage with their government if given the accessibility to so.

MS SWIT 2010: First Day

On December 2 in Kiev was started the Microsoft SWIT 2010 Conference. MS SWIT is the largest event for Ukrainian IT professionals where they can communicate and share the experience with the colleagues.

The two-day event is dedicated to the innovative MS products and technologies, such as Windows Azure, Windows Phone 7, SharePoint 2010, System Center, Visual Studio, etc. About 30 lecturers from Microsoft and its partner companies take floor in three specialized sections.

Softheme takes part in MS SWIT 2010. Our company is very interested in new information technologies, software development trends and cloud computing. We have participated in a discussion of various topics such as

Mobile devices have become an integral part of human life. Important role in establishing this fact played a most possible devices, and capacity to create different kinds of applications, allowing each of us to more effectively utilize their resources. Facebook And Skype Becoming Deeply Integrated

Facebook and Skype are preparing to announce an extensive partnership that involves SMS, voice calls, and Facebook Connect.

The upcoming Skype 5.0 beta version is rumored to carry the new functionality. While it looks a strategically sound step for both of the tools, the move will help enhance FaceBook’s chat application and will somewhat put it in competition with Google Talk communication software, while the more than 500 million subscribership of FaceBook , in turn looks very valuable for Skype so to say.
